I think the biggest challenge is to be within limits. (if you work in a magazine or similar) and to try to bring your talent to light being "in frames".

If you re a freelancer, the hardest chalenge is to be unique. To have your own style of talking to readship in ur books or blog. To be able to touch hearts and souls not just by using trivial words and patterns taken from another book. But  by learning how to use these instruments like a jeweller to bring ur idea.

Actually, it depends on the writer himself/herself because each one has a different background and foundation.  In my case, it was doubt on my capabilities: will I make it? how will I make a mark in this field? These were the two questions that came to my mind - and bothered me for a time - when I decided to make writing a career.

Procrastination is the enemy. Know this, you are NOT going to write the perfect line first go.

Stop messing about, just write something, anything. Fill some pages, lots of them, and then go back and edit. It doesn't matter how bad it is, words on paper are worth more than words inside your head. Write it down and then reread it, over and over, move words around, change the punctuation, think of better words. Build it slowly, writing is a craft, forming the words on the page (in the computer) is the best way to write. At least it is for me and I hope it works for you but to be able to say that today you put five pages down that you know you will improve tomorrow is a great feeling, a huge confidence boost.

The biggest challenge I think writers face at the start of their careers is accepting criticism.

in my opinion the most challenging part of writing (of course after finishing your project) is to find a publisher or a decent way to publish your work.

In my opinion, "THE CHALLENGE" of a writer is to find first people who read because reading is being more and more old fashion of hobbies.

The challenges that every writer faces in the beginning of his career are the timing of his topics....whether it is appropriate or absolete, interesting or can be destruction to his first writing skills. Another challenges are the appropriate words or verses to describe his given topic to be fully understand and appreciated. All writers are writing for a cause and reasons. They never want to be a failure or misunderstood.

the major challenges faced by writers at the beginning of their career is firstly publication issue. it most very difficult to publicise your write up as a result of lack of funds or not getting someone to do that for you and the other is criticism
