Honestly, do you actually use PMI processes, tools, and techniques in your work as a project manager?

I can't help feeling that no one actually uses them, at lease in this part of the world.

PMI's processes for me are the reference. These processes are well defined and described. However it's a matter of fact that according to PMI, each project is unique and hasn't been accomplished before, so requirements are different and as well the Enterprise Environmental Factors. So you can find yourself automatically -according to these factors- ought to follow the phases, as well as deactivating few of these processes.

Using all the processes in a project is the best case scenario for me.

I do but not all of it because not all of PMI are applicable in all industries or projects.
