IT IS PREFERABLE BETWEEN (10 -14 ) DAYS THAT IS DEPENDING ON STRUCTURAL MEMBER
14 days in most international specifications
14 days (depending upon part of Structure)
To almost all international specifications say it is7days curing. I suppose this must be true in this case also. Unless there is any repairs carried out which again needs this7 days curing, for all practical purposes and to the specifications, the requirement is only7 days curing period.
But I would be surprised to know if there is any clear - cut procedure or guidelines exist anywhere if the specified curing period is not complied with by the Contractor. After documentation to this effect from the side of PMC, Client or Consultant, is there any specific guideline or recommended procedure to reduce the payable rate towards the Contractor due to the sub standard work performed by him?
In the weather conditions as specified by you gentle moist curing must be extended to days. I prefer to continue curing even as work progresses for at least2 to4 days extra.
