If you are a job seeker the best friend that u can have is an insider in the co where u want to work , who can recommend you.3rd party recruiters are good provided that u choose the right one and apply for all the cos that they recommend.

As an indevidual I would preffer a mix of a3rd party recruiter , friend in a multinational who could  recommend me, newspaper ads etc and try for a month or2 still contenuing at my previous job.

Never leave a job before finding a new1.

One bird  in the pot is worth a thousand in the bush and a million flying about.

  10. Having a temp gives the business a chance to evaluate how the person will fit in with the corporate culture and other employees.
  11. Hiring a temp provides time to identify any weaknesses that would not typically be evident in the interview process.
  12. Using a staffing agency can avoid the permanent commitment that a full-time employee requires, saving both time and money.

  27. A staffing agency is serving their clients, but offering you an assignment.  Be sure you represent them professionally.
  28. Even though you are a temp, your productivity, performance and attitude are important.
  29. Don’t conduct your job search on your temporary employer’s time.

  34. Working with a staffing agency does not guarantee placement in a job.  It’s one of many techniques to use in your job search.
  35. Don’t abdicate the tasks of the job search to a recruiter who is busy working with lots of job seekers.
  36. Reducing or stopping your networking efforts once you start using a staffing agency is a huge mistake.
  37. Recruiters have contacts in the business community which only extends your networking outreach.
  38. Temp jobs can often be the answer when your cash reserves are running low.
  39. Temping can give you experience in careers you might not have otherwise thought of trying – without a long-term commitment.
  40. Remember if you don’t like your temporary assignment, your next opportunity is right around the corner.
  41. Having the flexibility from temping can work well for your job search and personal priorities.
  42. Signing up with a staffing agency is usually quick and easy, much of which can be done online.
  43. Temps are employees of the staffing agency, not the business that is using their services.
  44. According to the American Staffing Association (ASA) the average temporary tenure assignment is three to four months.
  45. The average temporary employee earns about $12/hour according to the ASA.
  46. Approximately79 percent of staffing employees work full-time according to the ASA.
