Offcourse we are passing through the digital era and we have good examples like cocacola and other products. Companies are investing heavily over social media marketing and engagement strategies these days to increase customer base. Its an easy, fast, cost effective and productive medium.

Yes, I think it would be helpful... but i think to maintain its track is little bit complex. Digital marketing is a very wide domain. Marketing options are available on low cost there are also free options along with the paid marketing so over all its a big domain. Its maintenance and marketing content updates is a little tricky part. So if a company can manage it properly then according to me Digital marketing is The Marketing.

Yes! But beware, bigger budget usually means better result, but not always. I agree with a mentioned opinion here, that SMART is the key word. How feasible is it when you weigh the costs against the success you will be reaping? And will the extra resources be allocated smartly? In any event, Digital Marketing is a "god-sent" gift to marketers, compared to other far more expensive traditional marketing outlets (like TV and print) and highly effective benefiting from techniques such as profile-targeting, personal-targeting and geographic targeting of potential customers who're gathered willingly in one big and expanding place (the world wide web).

Increase in digital marketing budget won't essentially give you more market share. I would attribute growth of a company to its intelligent marketing efforts and research and strategy behind every penny spent.

Digital marketing isn't the next big thing, it's the biggest thing happening in the marketing world right now.

But before you put most of your marketing budget into online channels, it's important to know what works (and what doesn't) when targeting customers in the digital world.

It's important for each brand to know how their specific customers consume media and how different media types work together to achieve sales and brand objectives.
