Both, depend the advantages, benefits, motivations, values, and how they perceive these two approaches.
company size and management system matters actually. otherwise it is always good to work with multi national organisation particularily in the beginning of your carrier for learning. in national companies there are always few chances to learn because normaly they do not spend much on training department.
I think both are good, but the main thing is that to get work or job, which enhance experience.
Depends on your skills experience and the job requirements
we cannot give a definitive answer that the best company is the local or global because of the presence of a local company with a world-class and some multinational companies do not live up to the high level.
But in general the multinational companies are may be the better because of the respect of the system and administrative requirements of quality, safety and continuous improvement.

All depends on you and how you see it, Any opportunity is key to success.
Good question and NO one clear general answer .. It depends ...
Now, I think there is enough criteria to make a qualified decision
For me, I have worked for multi-national/international companies like IBM, CA, HP, Aramco, ... etc
I also worked for local companies representing IT solution providers, banks, ministries, ...
My preference and my recommendation is to go for multi-national/international companies if you can, specially in the beginning of your career, when you still want to establish yourself professionally.
Later on, you can go back to your home country, work for a local company, establish your own ... or what so ever
The one which offers me the job I like, the highest package, & the best anticipated future.
