I have organized the UAE's largest inter-collegiate festival for two years now. This type of event required tens of thousands of dirhams and months of preparation with a number of fields to handle such as Sponsorship, Public Relations, Hospitality etc. While International Concerts definitely do count as a major type of event, what are the other types that would involve a similar skill-set and experience.
Two that I can think of readily are "The Dubai Festival" one of the richest if not the richest horse racing event in the world and "The race to Dubai" which is the culmination of the European Tour golf tournaments, again a very richly rewarded event.
