well,

regarding the government censoring on the internet, specially in Arab States I can say:

there may not be a standard rule that manage the internet.

but my opinion about as followi can divide it into two parts

first part i can say "censoring is not acceptable"

second part i can say "Yes it is needed"

the reasons behind the first part are:

1-it can expose the privacy of users

2-it can be used for other unknow purpose

3-it can create some problems during browsing for the users caused by inexpert applied of censoring.

4-it is not a usefull method that government can do.

5-can lead the users to search and use the proxies to over come that censoring so may resulting unwanted reaction from users by learning more and more about proxies and other harmful tools and programs

.6-restriction on freedom.

second part reasons are:

1-government can be censoring on the internet if it is threatening the nation economy.

2-Threats to national security..

3-what is not allowed according to the Islam.

above all i can say it can be but for strong reason and in limit and for limit..

Without doubt,it is necessary to impose censorship on the Internet on the one hand the government within the limits ofnon-infringement of the rights of citizens

It is an unfortunate turn of events. It should go upto such extremes.I take it to be a gross abuse of a fundamental right for its citizens, that of free access to information.
