Identify the reason for being slow.Make a plan according to the result.Motivate students.Teach them bit by bit.I shouldn't stick to the end of the curriculum and dates.Evaluate each step.

I always analyse each slow learner one by one and investigate its causes. Once it's investigated, it become easy to meet the challenge. I devise personalised strategy for each one of them so that they can improve without sffering any pressure. Sometimes, it needs me to change the strategy once or twice to get the desirable objectives.

I always try to take them along with the entire class, as much as I can.

Teaching as a volunteer there are students who take to the learning process in a different way.

I find that those learners who seem to be learning at a different rate have hidden skills and abilities.

Motivaiton is part of the key.  Find these talents and it is amazing how quick they are to learn.  Keep activities interesting and vary the tasks.  Some students like to hear rather than see information because they like sounds.  So from the lesson of the day, I have put together audio tapes and asked students to take them as homework and let me know what they learned from them. The next day the excitement and retainment of alot of information is clear to see.

Other learners prefer visual and have tended to have speaking difficulties or communication challenges.

Recording videos of different ways to communicate and shows which demonstrate step by step how to start a new learning process, helped learners to remember what they saw and put it into practise.

Important to be patient with learners who find the process of learning more challenging because they can surprise you with improvement or a different way of looking at things which is not necessarily wrong.

They can become entrepeneurs or specialists in less common fields because of unique talents which can be developed.

Observe their development at a good distance, challenged learners do to like to feel claustrophic or watched too closely.  Do let them feel you are supportive though during assignments by asking questions whilst they are doing the work and adding positive and constructive feedback.

Provide a stimulating environment.  Sometimes more shorter breaks do help as attention span can affect their interest in the current task.

All round support from parents and full engagement from teachers with the learner provides a foundation from which the learner can improve and blossom.

Well, if this student is slow, then adapt to his speed and pace, and at the same time motivate and support him to speed up.

For slow learners the key is to study and analyse their background we have to rule out the contributing factors that lead to their learning impairment ,it is important to understand and rule out distraction in their personal life.once this is corrected we can move to benchmark our success and measure our improvement rate.

if the cause is genetic then we either isolate them in a special class or just provide them with extra tutoring sessions.
