How about saying Marketing is answering the What, Why, When, Where and How and Sales is the delivery part that of delivering to the end customer for a consideration
So, both are equally important and hold their own significance
Both are equally important. Marketing creates the need and want for a product or service and sales ensures that the transaction happens.
I believe both Marketing and Sales play significant roles in driving the sales of a product or service. Essentially, marketing is already a form of sales, but can easily lack a personal connection with it's audience.
Marketing through advertising and promotions only goes half the way of delivering awareness of the product or service. Once the awareness has been achieved, it is up to a sales team to bring the consumer to the end of making their decision.
In the end, there is no definitive formula that will work in all cases, however I would say both Marketing play equal roles in most scenarious.
Marketing is way important than sales, without practice the marketing4p's and marketing mix there wont be sales
Marketing follows sales.. It can`t be divided. With good marketing you will increase sales, but with just marketing and not sales you just have a great reputation. One goes with another!
Its like a finger of hand . Hand needs the finger & cannot do without it . Marketing can develop / plan / make suitable strategies but requires Sales as its force to act and execute . As, both looks same - they are not & for some they can be separated - i think they cannot be separated , either its a joint effort and have to enjoy work hand in hand .
Marketing. because marketing is a process that produce or convert into sales.
