Control systems are dependant upon the work that needs to be done.

Equipment varies and each manufacturer will tell you theirs is the best.

You need to look at all available and choose one that fits your needs.

DCS and PLC types are the two main divisions in the market.

What they can do though is almost limitless.

Look at some big manufacturers products to get an idea.

Siemens, Schneider Electric, Tridium, etc.

Decide if you need simple control or system integration, graphics, etc.
