there are many ways. a few of them are listed below:
from the Doctor's side:
1. explain them of the situation in most appropriate manner possible. if tha patient is irritated with his/ her condition kindly speak to the family & reveal the cindiytion / resulys in the most respectable manner.
2. for kids let them know of the advantages of any medical procedure beforehand. excite them & make them ready for it.
3. have a rewards program for all patients. if they behave well, give a treat - a candy / cartoon / movie which they like the most. this coming form the physican would be much more appreciated (a change from the medications / procedures)
from the Nurse's side
1. be patient with your patinets
2. try to listen to their problems & reason it with them
3. be calm & explain them things for which they might / or have thrown tantrums
4. never ever say i dont thicnk so. reason out a way in which it is a win -win outcome
5. thank God every day for giving you a healthly life & also thank him for all of his blessings
6. have a good networking with your team
7. a good teamplayer can motivate others too to perform on levels expected
8. be sure of what is expected from you by the patients
9. let them you understand & genuinely do so. if a bad incident has happened with you ( godforbid say a accident / a family tragedy) please do relate it to them - this would help them to see their problems aligned others if not less
