What public health programs exist outside of the Health Authority of Abu Dhabi, to increase prevention efforts?

In seeking a position to either train future public health professionals and or implement evidence based participatory research to improve health outcomes I am seeking information on public health programs in Abu Dhabi outside of the standard government entities and hospitals.

One of the developments in public health in UK is that we are utilizing more technology in order to get health messages across to all communities and professionals. We know that there is evidence of high level of individuals with mobile phones usage globally and we are in the process of developing various preventative messages, signposting and support offers to professionals and local communities.

There is a huge potential to utilize more NGO's who have worked with grassroot communities in commissioning early intervention and prevention services. As such various health networks and forums are being established to educate more and more people on developing and embracing life style changes.

As good practice we are also looking at various Train the trainer sessions being rolled out to educate, inform and further develop knowledge of professionals around areas such as bereavement support/mental health which would allow sustainability for organisations to continue to develop further learning internally rather then further added cost of training again in future. A model which fits good practice and sharing across the region.
