1. Listen to native speakers if you are in the country where the language is spoken. If not, watch movies, listen to the radio, etc.2. Improve your listening skills by focusing on different sounds of the language.3.Try to learn new words and expressions. Don't feel anxiety because of mistakes.4. Record yourself speaking and pronouncing the different sounds of the language, and compare the record to native speakers.5.Avoid thinking in your mother tongue and translating.6. Imitate the native speakers using idioms, saying, expressions, instead of imitating a grammar book which is too formal.7. Improve your reading skills reading books, magazines, articles and other authentic material .8. Improve your writing skills writing short paragraphs everyday.

Find native English speakers. In certain areas it's the hardest thing to do, but it's the best use of your time. Talking to actual native speakers is the most effective way to improve your English skills, speaking or otherwise. So whether you have to Skype them, call them, or beg them to speak to you, do so. Your progress will be faster this way than any other.

Listen to the music of English.

    •  No, not English music, the music of English -- its lilt, its prosody, the sing-songy-ness of it. The intonation. Even if you speak perfect English

technically

  • , if you speak it like a robot you're not speaking it the way it's meant to be spoken.

Record yourself. Though we hear ourselves all the time, we really don't know quite what we sound like. So record yourself! What are the weak and strong points you hear in your speech? And then you can concentrate on what you need to work on.

You need to practise speaking English with good English speakers as much as possible. It is very important not to be afraid to make mistakes....we learn from our mistakes. Another thing which is helpful is to listen to spoken English e.g. from t.v., radio etc. This will help you with correct pronunciation. When you come across new words you should find out what they mean and try to use them as soon as possible. The more you practise the better you will become!

It's all about practice!

Speak with native speakers in English and if you don't have such foreginers around, get a languager-learning penpal from sites like interpals.net

Watching English media with English subtitles is another great way to hold the aspect of English as a culture not just as a language.

I have said it quite often on this forum when answering similar questions, my advice would always be to listen to the World Servce of the BBC, their pronunciation and enunciation of the English Language and vocabulary is, as you would expect, excellent!

First step is listening and understanding after this u can speak.

For example, when baby grow first he/she listen .... After some days or months able to understand and final start to speak. At the starting level of speaking baby make a lot of mistakes but time to time u can feel improvement.

So as I think that mistake is important lesson.

You can use different resources to improve your skill, watching English Movies,  Reading Books , conversation with your friend, even you can talk yourself effectively.

  1. Listen, listen and listen once again to how proper English is spoken by others (preferably natives but not necessarily, as non-natives can have clearer and slower articulation sometimes). To produce own English you have to re-produce stored English!
  2. Decide on what type of English do you want to improve: formal, conversational, slang, dialectical etc. and watch as much programs (with or without subs) that foster such language.
  3. Use variability of spoken English sources, switch between movies, news broadcasting, talk shows, (cartoons!), YouTube-hosted lectures, documentaries & stand-up comedy!
  4. During all previous phases, do shy away from practicing your spoken English.
  5. No one around? No worries, talk to yourself in the mirror, when brushing your teeth in the morning (or evening) for instance. Tip: make sure no one hears you so you won’t be accused of madness and take your brush out of your mouth for proper pronounciation!

Learning a new language is a long process which requires lot of patience. All the four skills I.e. reading, writing,  speaking and listening should be included in ur learning process.
