be changed, behavior can be altered but changing people is another story.it is my experience in building and leading sales and marketing teams that you can change a process,a strategy.,but you can not change people??do you agree?
In work culture what do we look in people. Their skills, potentials, thought process, decision making abilities, knowledge and experience. All these can be changed by making improvement upon them. The role of various training programs, skill development programs, coaching, work exposure, etc. comes into effectively.
Yes, people can be changed but you are not going to see the desired change in them if you ask them or force them to do so. Instead focus on creating a situation/environment where they will be MOTIVATED enough to change themselves.Of course it will take time but the result will be sustainble one and they also will feel happy about it.
Work out a strategy which will make them feel the necessity to change and also they must feel that the desired change will be good for them both personally and professionally. An effective strategy will make them initiate the process of change in the desired direction. All the best.
PEOPLE CAN BE CHANGED IF YOU CARRY THEM ALONG WITH THE POLICIES AND PROGRAM OF THE COMPANY AND TRAIN THEM ADEQUATELY
People might not change against some kind of change requirement. there the problem could be in subject / goal of change not in the people. However, I believe people can change always,
people cannot change , but you can change how people act, and so put the in the right position. But they will never change, but you know what to expect.
People do not change, it is genetic, they adopt and they cope to changes at different paces according their personal character and the tools they will use to help them adopt like training, personal and professional development programs, and getting exposed to the supportive environment.
I would like to dissect this question. People can be made to change provided the leadership supports this change. It's all about how mature are the employees, are they basic users of Pcs or advanced users. Are they operational users or strategic management executives. The learning curve for basic users is more when implementing a process or IT change compared to advanced users.
it might be your personal experience but people can be changed through motivation, briefings on attitude, brainstorming techniques, trainings, giving live examples of other colleagues success in the same field, along with the proper push from all the required areas.
People can change to a degree. YOU cannot change them though. You can MAKE them behave differently, but a their core, people gravitate toward their beliefs and beliefs will influence their behavior.
Beliefs can be changed, not easily but can - and only a permanent change of beliefs brings about a permanent change in behavior.
So, what are your beliefs? ;)
