TESL is English Language Program for those who are interested to learn English as a second language.
The objectives of this paper are to; present a teaching and learning framework which provides the foundation for the effective acquisition and mediation of intercultural communication skills in the modern language classroom; balance the theory with practical examples of teaching methodology, materials and activities. The framework presented here merges theories of learning from the fields of intercultural education, intercultural communication studies and educational psychology.
Native speakers of different languages have different accents. When speaking English as a second language, they naturally have an inclination towards the accent of their first language. Even pronunciation of some words is totally different from that of original English.
Such a multi-cultural environment in the English language class room is helpful in understanding the accent of others which leads to communicate easily with the people having different culture and language.
It is incredibly important. Language is more than grammar and vocabulary; to really learn a language we need to be aware of culture and how it affects both language and how people live and behave.
