According to me: To be honest, there is no easy way to manage multiple projects consistently. It's a challenge and this can be overcomed by the Project Managers if they follow the below steps in a proper methodology.

We need to follow Sprint and Buffer technique for splitting up our tasks to mini-tasks. Once our larger tasks have been split into mini-tasks, we can now schedule buffer time between the mini-tasks to allow interruptions during the day. This allows us to stay focused on what we are currently doing.
No Assumptions: We need to realize that the person coming us to help doesn’t necessarily need us to solve or work on their problems. We should ask them explicitly what they are expecting from us and we can provide them coaching or recommend help that they desire. Also we can send them in the right direction to move forward which allows them to take their next step. And most of the time, that is all they really need. So we need not assume additional work on ourself.
When someone interrupts our work schedule, we must take ownership of our calendar.
We need to be transparent always. We must share our entire list of projects that we are currently working on to our co-workers. We get more ideas from them ofcourse!
If we have unclear directives, vague requirements with our explicit understanding of the project features, we can provide a sketch, prototype or high-level demo to the client and stakeholders and can gain clarity.
We should take responsibility for getting all the information we require to produce a quality product or service.
