In my own opinion, firstly, you need to know if they have history in buying one your products.

  • if not, ask them for which purpose it is to be place or use ( e.g. living room, bedroom, office, outdoor etc.. )
  • Clarify what type it should be made of ( wooden, steel with uphols., )
  • If your firm can fabricate made to order, ask them maybe they seen a design clip that they wish to be fabricated.
  • If it helps, also ask the user or for whom it is intended for ( general, kids, oldies )
  • Basing on observations, normally establishments like this is quite boring. I just imagine the sales person how they manage to pass the day if noone drops by and visit them. The moment a customer come they will have all the time to convience them. So every minute counts and every conversation should serve its purpose just to close a sale. My point is, the last thing you should ask is there budget. If they have specifics, and unable to pay the total cost at once. By asking this, you will be able to recommend the type of payment with their preferred furniture or you may able to sell the slow moving items with a lesser cost which closely related to their needs.

You should know how to find the best match for your clients/customers needs. Every piece of furniture has certain elements or features that determine whether or not it is a good fit. Don't just sell for sake of making a sale.

First of all I prefer customers' s choice. I will get idea how much hi is interested. Then tell him how hi can better furnish with this item suitable with the setting and colours collection. Idea of customer's range and lead hi according to his purchase power

to suggest any furniture piece you should consider the following:

Atmosphere that it will be in. is it modern, classic, etc..

- Colors they have in the space; curtains, wood, wall paint, etc..

- Client age also is important
