Hi Mohammed,

There are several major items for clients to consider when undertaking a drastic change to “how things are currently done.”  First, the client’s project sponsor must be completely committed to the engagement and should have authority to make business decisions whenever there is a stalemate regarding business process. Some of the reasons for a CRM project failure are-

The CRM system is deployed before the sales processes are defined Failure to identify the high-level information that you want from the system Not involving (and engaging) senior managers in the project Having unrealistic expectations for project success Poor communication within teams is another failure factor.

Hi Mohamed,

Please find below the feedback for CRM projects which have plans, directives and programs but there is no vision:

Organizations deploy tools and technology without a proper CRM-business strategy.

Poor user adoption is a key driver of failed CRM projects, as initially there would be lot of euphoria but later on end users stop using it. Also if the users are not part of the solution they wouldn't embrace the project.

CRM Projects without concrete goals and a plan to measure progress & results are utter the failures.

In the absence of metrics, expensive CRM initiatives can drift into failure without ever delivering meaningful benefit.

I hope i've summarized a large concept & experience into few sentences.

Regards,

SAAA.
