Fashion/textiles/graphic designing are visual based career paths. Often I get private messages on Bayt.com requesting for my opinion on a logo/moodboard which I can't assist since we can't share (original) images via this highly accredited website.
You could also ask, why not make private messaging totally credit-free?
"U give them nothing to use, and they will have nothing to MISUSE", that, I believe, has become a rule of thumb in community design adopted by many websites nowadays, even majorily contributing to their success like Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, learning from the mistakes of predecessors who went down because of their negligence of this rule, like Friendster (ghost-profiles) and MySpace (cluttery, obscenely coloured profiles heavy with useless apps). And I think this rule is what keeps adjustments slow and very careful on Bayt.com.
There are many features and functionalities Bayt.com can add to make the website more "complete" and able to "compete" with other (social media) sites, specifically social and professional networking sites. The "member interaction" part is clearly geared towards adding transparent user-generated content through the forum and not via private messaging, a mini blog, notes or a wall (like on Facebook), for instance.
But I also suspect that Bayt employs high-calibre professionals in the fields of web development, community design, social media strategy and user friendliness, who constantly research such possibilities but then get deterred (constrained) by the company objectives and business model. If I were to draw strategy for Bayt.com community interaction and user generated content, I'd be wary of providing features that would alter the main website objective as a result of the monetization concept of the website which is job seeking vs head hunting and NOT professional networking at this stage. At the same time, I would look for ways to deliver on what Sidrah suggests, meeting her and others' demands halfway, to keep her hooked to Bayt.com.
Sharing pictures via private messages on a job site is a difficult decision in light of monitoring private content in terms of rules vs MISUSE (obscene, offensive, complaints, publicly shared complaints vs reputation etc.) and in terms of keeping the strictly job site image intact, but also technically in terms of maybe slowing down the site. But all of these issue can be tackled, if members were consulted regularly to cast their "majority vote".

I hope this adds sensibly to an interesting discussion.
I thank you for your interesting and valuable questions that really add value and makes it harder for us to post engaging questions, you have positioned and branded yourself as a passionate member who speak the mind and the heart when posting questions.
i do agree with you ,some members also wanted to post their own writing, designs and inventions and I believe that is a matter bayt.com should take seriously, not only would it improve participation but it will help members be more vIsabel to employers who are looking for stars and not just average applicants.
i will vote with majority,,,,m DEMOCRATE.........
. bayt.com Classified as site biography, and not a social networking
Upload picture option is good, but It is best to choose a site direct contact such as Facebook, support photos, videos and other format files
Yes, i agree with that. and not only photo a small size video will be a bonus.
Monitored option is an add on. More info leads to better links.
