Actually increasingly hard competition gives them no choice. though every one knows that they have the ability to produce excellent quality goods and products but is cost affective. So infact its not china its the supplier itself while the other hand china is providing economical product to whole world for every one. Chinese products are for rich, for poor.
althought they need to improve production system and quality and it will take a long time.
From experience it will be a long time,if quality is to be improved the cost will be higher.
they do have good quality products in china, unfortunately prices are not competitive.
amer
The trend will continue as China is producing good based on customer requirments. But by the mean time people will be understanding that china's product quality is improving.
QUALITY MAY BE AN ISSUE REGARDING " MADE IN CHINA " BUT TO MY KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE ABOUT CAPITALISTIC CULTURE, THEY HAVE SPENT MILLIONS ON PROMOTING THIS IDEA THAT CHINA,S PRODUCTS ARE CHEAP & LOW QUALITY,,,, OTHER THAN CHINA EVERY COUNTRY HAS QUALITY ? JUST THINK ??? IT MAY BE QUALITY , EFFECTIVENESS , SOLIDNESS , FOR YOU PEOPLE ............ BUT TO ME ITS WAR BETWEEN COMMUNISM VS CAPITALISM ,,,,
Long enough, cause China itself and its increasingly dominating economy, do not seem to mind it at all. In September2013 China officially took over the place of US as the largest industrial producer in the world. That's quality in itself, facilitated by clever utilization of the economic and societal demographics of China as whole that are different from other nations.
It's an "industrial evolution" paradigm, and such paradigm takes time to be changed. Besides, competition from only-high-quality-products traditionally industrial countries (UK, US, Germany, Japan, France, Italy etc.) is still there. There was a time when one would go for Taiwanese products when compared to Chinese ones, let alone ones that are made elsewhere like in Europe of the US. This is now history, cause the choice for "better Chinese" is there, too.
Now, the Chinese manufacturing culture is showing a non-contradictory, quite transparent distinction (in my opinion) between low, average, high, extremely high quality (luxury) production. This discussion dates from at least15 years ago, when it became clear to the world that big international brands deliberately choose China for their re-locating production plants, benefiting from low labour-cost and serving the profit motive without jeopardizing their brand equity in their "native markets" as a result of change in quality perception. Selling to "high-affluence" critical markets like the US and Europe, quality had to be maintained to abide by quality measures like the famous CE mark used in Europe.
China makes high quality products, from cloths and apparel to electrical appliance and electronics and heavy materials and the list goes on. The only reason why the old "bad quality" label/stigma is still stuck to China, is the fact it is also a flourishing big market for cheap low-quality re-make products too. Who cares? Well, nobody. Because, it works!
As long as there are people that belongs to Class C (Masses) that are willing to pay low cost manufactured products, private manufacturers will always find a way to manufacture cheap products. Its not about the low quality that China is producing because there are some China Made products that are also good. there are also locally manufactured goods that are sub standards, and it is caused by the demand of the product in the market and not because of the quality. We can say that the market id divided into3 groups the Class A (Elite) Class B (Average) and the Class C (Masses) and these groups are divided into3 divisions according to the A&B and B&C its divided this way because some of the B condumenrs are thrifty and decides to be be more practical in purchasing commodities. if you can see the pyramid the largest market ate the Consumers C.
So in Conclusion it would take a long time or it can never be avoided to sell bad manufactured products or outsourcing for cheaper manufacturers such as China to produce these items.
cThis false phrase is gone already.
China captured markets of those who have lesser means to their current needs.
They can offer higy manufacturing quality to those who can afford.
I think that it will takes a long time untill business men who import bad manufacturing stuff stop their desires to only gain alot of money without looking to the material of the products imported , the reason is not China products quality , because China factories can make all types of products quality , the reason is the bussiness men , they choose the cheapest products that manufactured from poor materials to gain alot of money .
It is people perception only, on reality nothing link b/w bad manufacturing and MIC.
