The main thing Saba is to keep reminding yourself of all the "hassle" you are missing by being fortunate enough to work from home!! The daily commute, traffic jams, parking, all kinds of weather etc etc. Keep telling yourself that if you "fail" when working from home that you will have to go back to all that!!
STAY FOCUSED....MAKE YOUR THINGS TO DO LIST EVERY DAY ...... PLAN YOUR DAY /WEEK / MONTHLY OBJECTIVES & TRY TO ACHIEVE THESE ........ SELF MOTIVATION do not need external factors to get focused . CARRY YOURSELF AT HIGH LEVEL WHERE PEOPLE FOLLOW YOU. GOOD LUCK
1. Have a clearly defined work area which is used only for work.
2. Treat working from home as strictly as you would if you were working in an office - decide your working hours and dedicate time to working within these hours. Have breaks as set times and return to work after the break.
3. Make sure family aware of your working hours and set boundariesl which you keep. This will make it easier them to respect and realize that you are serious about working within those hours, so unless an emergency you must not be disturbed as far as is possible. If you say not to be disturbed at10am but you start taking calls and text messages from them at this time, even though you told them not to, they will think that you are available and so here starts the grey area for the boundaries - these must be clear and enforced.
4. Set priorities - what do you need to achieve for the day or the next day, or by the end of the week. What would you like to achieve by the end of the month, end of the quarter or by the end of the year?
What do you need to do to achieve those goals? What calls can you be making? Who are people to contact and network with? How can you improved your productivity? Are you working to the best of your ability? Is there anything new you can learn to help you with your work? Are there new skills you can learn? What have you achieved that you are happy with? Are you steering your work in the right direction or do you need to evaluate and change direction? Is there still a demand for your work? Are you happy in your work/? These are some questions which can help you confirm whether or not you are focused and motivated in your work.
5. Remember why you started working from home - are you still reaping financial and time saving benefits?
6. Think of what you do not want to go through ever again and see if that encourages you to keep working from home.
Be always make (( To Do List )) in order to know and set you tasks accroding to what is Urgent and which is important.
Prepare the previous day how you're ging to make optimum use fo your time focuseand mental praparedness
