How to apply optimum moisture content test results on site?

We get Max Dry Density in the Lab whose moisture conent is known as OMC. When the field (site) soil is compacted with the water content equal to OMC obatined in the Lab,the result in Field compaction is of high degree. We compare the dry density of field with the dry density of Lab in percentage. Higher the percentage is higher the compaction in the field
