Its so subjective and depends on individual passion. if you more on money driven, of course increment.

But for me, im prefer working in honest and enjoyable work place. When you being sincere in working, all this thing will come automatically. you just need to be patience and calm. Someone will recognize you if you are result oriented.

i believe it depends on the person and what triggers his /her motivations.

for me personally i believe it is career advancement and challenge.
