Thank you for addressing your question to me. As I see that all the marketing and branding efforts are measured by the ;

1. Sales growth.

2. Customer retention. 

The growth in sales is measure of succesful marketing.

The consistent upward graph is indication of increase in customer base that is the result of succesfull branding.

I would also like command better price for my product as a result of succesfull branding. Therefore growth in sales revenue can also be viewed as the measure of branding.

I am very happy when I see a competitor comparing their product features with my product. I feel I am succesfully able to create brand awareness. As you find many white goods manufacturers compare their products with other brands.

depends on what medums of Marketing you are using!!! Direct marketing like 'promo codes' on ice cream boxes (for eg) can be measured by the no. of units people buy during the promo and so on....

digital marketing is the only medium you can accurately measure. 

Branding as the name suggests is just branding. if customers like what they see and read they might want to buy. That again depends on design, packaging etc. theres no defenite way to measure its effectiveness depends on a1000 factors...brand visibility, awareness, advertising etc.
