Having managed quit a few organizations, maybe incorrectly but I have always thought of these are all but the same - or should be. Leadership is Management and Management is Leadership. There, of course, are various forms of leadership (from the front - the rear - from within or by directive) and management (by example, "stick" - "Carrot", etc...) but their goals are the same.
Both leadership and management is important to succeed , because to become successful one needs to have leadership qualities which will help in building good relationship with employees and therefore in return , obedience is maintained . management on the other hand comes in hand in hand with leadership . If one's leadership qualities is undoubtly good then management would be of no issue .
