In project manager’s perspective what are the best methods to track project expenses in easy way to track the project progress?

There are many out-of-the-box project tracking applications that will help in tracking projects. Or you can even go for the use of Spreadsheets.

Everyday the Project Manager should monitor and review the resource Time Sheet (work log sheet)  to understand their assigned Tasks Vs Actual completion. If any deviation the issue will be addressed by the Project Manager then and there to complete within the given schedule.

Also the same details also should be captured in the over all Project Management applications like  MS Excel, MS Projects, Liquid Planner or any other related applications. Based on these application tools we can track  the current project progress status, expenses and if any additional information require by the PMs.
