1. the key elements of the long term business strategy, including product offerings, pricing, sourcing, footprint, etc 2. hiring and firing your staff, the top people in the org. for whom the entire rest of the org reports to.3. key negotiations/decision with the top customers (not that the top guy does the negotiating).
1-Vision. Having a clear vision is essential to your organization’s health.
2 - Strategy. By emphasizing vision, I am not suggesting that strategy is unimportant.
3- People. Leaders are responsible for getting “the right people on the bus.”

the most important leadership decisions is the following. Vision is to get something done secondly, strategy is by emphasizing vision and thirdly if you have the right people you will figure out the right vision and strategy.
