3 NF vs Star schem for data warehouse?

You can have a Start schema in3NF, and there is no such thing as this is the best way to design a data warehouse, it all go back to the use of the DW:

- Who is going to use the DW?

- What tool is used to visualize the data: for e.g. DW -> MS OLAP -> DATA MARTS -> Client Application.

- What is the size of the data?

- What is the update frequency for the DW?

And the list goes on, so you need to be more specific to get the right answer.
