crisis is a sudden event impacting and causing fear, panic and Un clear levels of harms
MANAGEMENT BY RESPONSBILTY,,,, GET YOUR EMPLOYEES KNOW THE MAIN FEATURE OF CRISIS BUT NOT THE WHOLE PROBLEM BECAUSE IT MAY CAUSE MORE FUSS IN THE COMPANY,,,, THINK THE POSSIBLE RECOVERY WITH CONSIDERING ALL THE STAKE HOLDERS....
through my experience in dealing with crisis situations for governments and decision makers I wish to highlight the following steps:
- First of all It is important to gather the facts: who, what, where, why, how and what next
- Keep internal public informed
- Activate the crisis management team to distribute the information that you want the media or other stakeholders to have
- Give the media the maximum of information ...they will get them anyway from other sources
- Avoid speculation...it will backfire
- If any bad news report it yourself...don't allow other sources to do it.
So the main points are : BE PREPARED - COMMUNICATE QUICKLY AND ACCURATELY - FOLLOW UP
Thnaks
1) managing their staff and their business (as always)
2) crisis communication protocols
No maatter what People Safety is on top onf all.
In such scenario, the management focus should be drawn only to the top priorities so that company should not loose its core operation. No matter what happens, the skilled people always have a Plan-B. B is for back-up. No one shall put all eggs in one basket.
Management's main focus should safely of personnel and continuity of critical business functions
The main focus at time should be, on available present resources and the right procedure to use them.
