HI there...if the existing infrastructure doesn't allow you to fulfill your requirements then its better to use micro ducts to comply with your requirements.

Assuming all facilities are new. In my experience it depends on the location, like for instance there is an existing GSM tower along the route that has no fiber optic installation at the time in this instance I advice to install Type A manhole for future expansion of the tower, but only to the route going to your nearest MSC or POP station. for the route going to the houses it is better to use2 cover handhole since it is more cheaper and the chances of adding more fiber optic cable is less to never. Handholes are small and easy to install in small roads.

it depends on the route is it existing or you are going to create new route , if existing so use micro duct14 way bundle or4 way if the existing conduit is of50 mm ...

Hi Abdul,

There are a lot of factors to get to the right answer:

  • location dependant - Supplier costs/lead times
  • Future proofing
  • Local skills
  • What other OSP is being used such as the fibre solution
  • Future proofing

Thereare a lot of Pro's and Con's for this or that and undoubtably a lot will come down to the price.

Regards

Steve
