How do you manage the situation when students never do their home work and thus drag behind the class?

i try to find some funny project that i can do it with student (learning project of course ) and i encourage them by taking them out side of school go to trip for exemple or hiking ....and tr to be their friend lessen to them and try to find solution without panishment

let them doing home work by dividing them into groups and give each group activity associated with their home work

We must understand one basic  thing. Nothing will happen without the reason. So, if the student's do not perfect in their home works, there must be a reason. Because, psychological factor is there.  Students have a capacity to undestand everything easily than others because of their mind and physic will be in better condition than senior people. Eventhough they could not perform well, think that there must be a problem or they may concentrate on something.We should find the resaon. Then only we can move further. We can easily find the reason from the student's by talk  with them freely. There is no use of scolding or hiting them. We should apply the concept of empathy here. We should think from their place. If we do like that we can do better.
