Is free customer service even for OOW products desirable?

When sale of a consumer product is falling and market share is also falling would supporting oow products help bring is more sales and help mending the reputation of the co?. OOW is out of warranty , normally a product that is not supported without a charge by the customer service dept.

Once you lose a trusted customer means, the customer is lost forever. If you are the Manufacturer, Giving free services on OOW products with reasonable coverage will substantially improve your reputation in the market and you find easy to retain your customers and improve the relation , you can make them a part of your future prospects.
