Is it better to have a university degree for a career in machining?

To have a career in machining you do not require a university degree, you either have to go to ITI or Polytechnic diploma, who have specialization in machining.
Nowadays where the market is controlled by CNC (computerized numeric control) machines, it is better to go for studies in CNC programming & machining after you get the basic knowledge of machining.

Those Engineer graduating from universities are claimed to be engineers, and they are not best in machining.
The best machinists are those that graduated from colleges and Polytechnics.
