Depression is something that employers should take more seriously. When employees spend most of their hours working, and not enough hours taking care of their physical needs, that can cause their metabolism to respond adversely and create chemical imbalances that trigger depression. As part of the work environment, it would be great if employers provide employees with enough time for not just lunch so they can sit down again, but for some exercise so they can move, walk around the block, join a gym (if in house or attend one if close by, or simply start an exercise team with colleagues). After a car accident, I have been attending an aqua zumba class twice a week, wich creates such an uplifting feeling for me that I am ready to tackle any challenge after exercising. When I travel I jump in the pool so that I don't miss the very exercises that motivate me daily.
