CEO is responsible for ensuring startegic planning to give company competitive edge in the mid term and long term . This naturally entails enhancing market share ,maintaining QC ,  improving bottom line, ensuring operational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.

None of the functions whether of marketing, production, procurement or HR management work in conflict with each other. These all departments are mutually supportive to achieve the common objective and KRAs set by the Company.

Growth and conflict resolution necessitate that proper processes and systems are put in place to achieve the desired goals. It is an imperative function of the CEO as the leader not only to set the goals and policies but also provide the tools and support required to perform a particular function.

The strategic direction may entail in order to  achieve better operational effcticveness, procurement , QC and Customer satisfaction many simultaneous and long impacting actions. Some of these could be:

Integrating an ERP

Obtaining necessary global QA & QC certifications like ISO9001;2008, OHSAS etc

HR Policy to be contemporray to focus on employee training and retention.

Creating a positive work ethos and culture.

Capital Expenditures for New Product development to remain competitive

Deveolpment of new territories for marketing

Capital Expenditure for Technolgy accretions

CEO needs to have the big picture correct to enable the  specialised departments/functions  to  work in mutual synergy and towards a common goal.

CEO always will set the Big Picture Correct and enable desired growth by thier leadership, value system and strategic planning.
