I will assess the impact to my business and at which stage is the contract now at (ie is it at the critical phase where I will not have time to source for alternatives?).
I will also find out the reason for the termination. If it is due to their inability to fulfill the contractual obligations (such as lead time, unable to meet certain specifications), we could discuss what is best to proceed without termination (assuming compromises can be made)
Termination should always be a last resort unless absolutely necessary.
