my own opinion is, away from smart or unethical
The end users isn't stupid ! and if you disrespect him with a way or another that will come back hitting your business hard as hell.
RESPECT customers and give them the best they can get with the most affordable price. like that your brand image and reputation will grow.
Thanks,
It is unethical to conceal the faults or low garde of a product. Market what is available and you will get your customers coming back for what you presented. But when concealed and your customers find out, market goes down the drain. No more business or professional credibility.
Sir
My opnion is that it wouldlead to bad publicity. It is sometimes described as the American concept of small thing in a big glossy package. What happens when the customer opens the package and gets to know the product. He would be dissatisfied and would not be attracted by the co any more.
Unethhical: No two thoughts there.
Smart in short lived money making and unethical in long term survival on low value for money.
I think it is completely unethical to mask inferior quality products with good packing, because at the end of the day how much ever you may advertise or market your product with false claims ,but the product is the most important thing and you may deceive the customer once but not twice and it is very wrong because a business also runs on trust if you break the trust you lose business and a good name which is very hard to earn .
And this practice apart from being unethical is also on a business basis a very wrong move.
Purely Unethical--
It restricts your chance of being getting an approach next time.
Good Day!!!
Very debatable question........
If the product quality doesn't justify the quality claim of the compnay, it is UNETHICAL for sure.
If the quality justifies the standards of quality the company is assuring, it is SMART.
BESIDE this, there are certain brands & products whose quality standards are unmeasurable and only customer feedback is the standard...... in that case, it is always smarter to sell your product with attractive packing and get more revenue (Thats what is happening in third world countries)
I believe it is SMART as long as it does not hide defects or shortcomings of the product. It is the customer who falls on the look and appearance of products without taking the time to care about the real value of the product itself.
