It really depends on the situation. If it is important decision/policy, then I would first verbally explain to the team then send out a written mail.. If it is just something I want to let people know and no need of a follow-up, I would just send out the mail (to notify people of something), a verbal talk to communicate and explaini to people where more questions to be answered or clarifications to be provided (one-one or team meetings)..
Both are valuable, but in cases you may need documentation it is in written form which has significance.
Both verbal and written presentation is the best one. This activity describe the whole aspect of the subject where viewers can see tables, charts, graphs, pictures, formula, and many other creative ideas, a positive and affective way of transfer for knowledge and practical experience into the depth of people mind and heart.
If you say something verbally people will forget soon but if you show them in written form they will remember up to long time. It’s like fixing in mind.
