To my understanding this question is about teaching in a school having:

- Co-education

- separate classes for male and female

Being a Muslim I believe that for a teacher both situations demand different approach to teaching.

During teaching there comes several occasions when a teacher has to give a liberal lecture or explanation. For instance, Taharah in Islamic studies or reproductive system in Biology are the topics which can't be discussed openly to keep a level of modesty in a mixed class of children.

At university level it is a bit easier because the learners are grown up and mature.

On the other hand in a separate class it is easier for a teacher to explain.
