By working  in a pharmaceutical company the professional can get in touch with his study and get more experienced practical knowledge regarding to his professional education than by working in a retail pharmacy.

In my point of view it is better to work in pharmaceutical company but not at sales branch as now a days pharmacies have become dependent mainly upon cosmetics because of the restrictions on medications

on other hand if pharmacist worked for long time at retail pharmacy , he needs continuously to refresh his career

It is a matter of preference! You see in Europe, working in a public pharmacy something totally different than working in the pharmaceutical Industry. In the pharmacy you are the manager of your "store" the way you apply knowledge is also totally different. In a public pharmacy you have to be up to date when it comes to pharmacotherapy you have to know the latest therapy guidelines and apply them propely. Moreover you have to be a manager of others who are mostly of lower educational level (assistants). In the pharmaceutical industry, you have a multidisciplinary (Operations, sales, customer support, research and development) team involved. Your focus is also totally different: as a pharmacist in the pharmaceutical industry you are either working within quality assurance or Regulatory affairs. You have to have a strong knowledge basis of current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and you have to be a teamplayer!!. If you want to know more don't hesitate to send me a private message buddy, I will be glad to help. Good luck!!

Kind Regards,

as a specialist in pharmaceutics i think its better that the pharmacist work on both pharmaceutical company and pharmacy at part time jobs since pharmacy is very important to keep the pharmacist more aware with new upcoming brands and new upcoming drug derivatives and keep pharmacist with communication with patients and still be as a health care provider
