Sending out messages which do not relate to the job an hand! Insulting people in your department of not doing there job? Remember you are not the manager!

Who are the people? Working under you or with you?
It really matters to be an assertive and inspiring manager.
People already have a life beyond which may not always be perfect or happy, they hope at least to find stability within heir job and to be working with true professionals, at least I do.
lack of appreciation and respect
workload (overload and underpay)
supervisors (conflicts or lack of support)
coworkers (conflicts or lack of support)
threat of violence, harassment, etc (threats to personal safety)
lack of trust
lack of perceived fairness
In addition to what Divyesh said issues related to the personality such as:
- Feeling weak or less than others
- Reflects his personal life at his job enivironment
- Nothing satisfies him/her
- Being jealous
This happens mainly due to the dissatisfaction gained from their job. Studies have shown that there is a direct relation between job dissatisfaction and counterproductive behaviors.
Job dissatisfaction may arise due to internal as well as external factors. The internal factors depend on the employees directly where they feel demotivated due to the recognition, feedback, promotions etc. granted. External factors are provided by the organization like payments, job security, incentives etc.
So some employees may get demotivated & dissatisfied due to internal factors and some due to external factors thus it depends. This would gradually lead to counterproductive or negative work behaviors.
I believe the main reason would be poor time management by the manager who doesn't track tasks distribution, progress and implementation .
agree with above answer

No Justice in Grading, Positions & Pay
I wonder what the manager thinks or if manager knows of this negative conduct at work....
