Which is more profitable for shipping companies : FCL or LCL???why?

For freight forwarders I believe LCL is more profitable as when consolidating loads charges and profit margins are higher,FCL rates are fixed and profit margins drop unless high volumes can be attained.

consolidating many shipments in one container is more profitable than a single FCLCL loads unless volumes are high.

LCL is more profitable than FCL container, since profit is added per CBM and not on the whole container.

LCL is more profitable for forwarders in case of C&F shipments because these are free hand cargoes and they can charge extra amounts at destination. Like there is a concept of Negative Freight in China against C&F. More margins..

LCL profit minimum will get usd3000 pre40 container

LCL - because they have many small clients to get their consignments shipped and charge higher freight per CBM as compared to FCL. These companies also get kick backs from agents and yards authorities at destinations.
