Why shouldn't you return it. Customers have to have the right to return products as long as they didn't unpack it or use it within a period of time (with or without reason).
In Europe customers get a period of1 or2 weeks and some times30day to return the product is they change their mind. They don't have to have a reason for that. Just bring it in it's original packing with the receipt.
The only exception are food and medicines.
Above this general rule, employers at retail shops have some authority to be even more flexible because Businesses are ready to buy customer satisfaction.
Try to understand his complaint regarding product he purchased and resolve his issue explaining product features otherwise for long term relationship with the customer, return back your product if not meeting the customer requirements and offer him other product if you have according to his requirements.
Try to retain. Ask him what bothers him about the product. See if you can offer him any other product, discount on some thing else. Most importantly let him feel that you are sincere in your efforts keep him as your customer.
Depends on how much the product is, if it can be re-sold and how much your losing? It's so easy for one customer to go online and write bad reviews all over the social media. I would try to just make the customer happy and move on. Have a return policy so the same customer does not return.
just ask him, wait for a moment, organize yourself to help and solve his problem. let him feel that you are sincere with him and will always help him if he had a complain.
In sample and Business wise answer , Any Shop Or Showroom Or Company MUST have Return Policy and written on the company or even MUST be mentioned in front of any customer when make the payment , in order if he / she want to return it , then we both ( Me & The customer ) have rules to follow it.
I try to know the cause of return, and try to convince the customer that buying from me they hadn't made a wrong choice. Even after that the customer still insists to give back, I will offer another similar product.
