This is great question ! for having competency mapping. You must plan the end target first then define competencies at organizational level, departmental level and at individual level. You need to define the core competencies then its definition and the desired behaviors and then draft your form at various level. This is a detail exercise which should be back b senior and HR head.
1. Decide competency for each position.
2. Performance will be measured by competencies.
Competency is mapped in2 areas i.e. Individual contributor and Manager of people (MoP) roles duly aligned to organisational growth and business strategy. Effective deployment and implementation would help create a performance based culture across the organisation. My thoughts.
