'Win-win solution' , to mix and matching both of approaches to ensure reaching on the same objective or purpose. Thank you.
Agree with Miss. Ismi
However if our objectives/goals are seperate then I'll let my colleague use his approach while i use mine.
If your goals/objectives are common and alligned then I'd try to come terms with my colleague by mutual understanding and coordination to work towards achieivng our targets together.
To work through your issues for mutual success is the key to team success.
At the end of the day, our main objective is to achieve the same goal. If my colleague's approach is better, I would want to implement it as well.
If the job permit you to choose your own discretion to solve the issue by being different in approach is a challenge to both, and prove the competency. Here one is worried about the others' choice is only because of lack of self confidence. Improve self confidence and try to solve the issues/perform the job in the most appropriate way so that result is very close to the purpose with no gap to fill in.
Apply for integrated approach.
listen your colleague carefully and try to use some practical examples to prove your opinion.
- Start dialogue
- Discuss with mutual respect
- If everyone has his own tasks, and you still believe your approach is better, do your tasks as you believe is best.
- If you work on the same task, and you can't convince your colleagues with your approach, work on as the majority say, but document that.
communication is key for all problems , discuss the problem , try to focus on result oriented approach
rather than personal interest Approach.
at the end choose the best alternative that benefit for organization performance and your own mutual goal.
First of all make sure you understand why your colleague thinks his/her way is better and then maybe share your practice with him/her.
Doesn't matter. First of all, I will listen from my colleague about his/her thinking and I also share my understanding. Both of us discuss deeply the matter. If no solution come out, I'll request my colleague to come to the Supervisor and will settle there.
