In fact, the consultant send us the URL to check about the Company's vision / mission, their awards, BOD, etc before I proceed for interview. Yes, we should know thoroughly about the company prior to the interview.

The internet would be the best place to start to do your "homework" about that company. The more information you know about the company, the better it is for you in the interview, as the interviewer may ask you questions about certain things that company is doing. If the company is difficult to find on the net, then local sources would be your next stop.
