Why most people use Google as the first place to search ? In other words, Why Google search engine stands on top of its competitors ?

Putting the popularity of Google Aside I would like to answer you question based on the devices we use.

For Desktop and laptops we generally use either of the two browsers the IE or Mozilla. Earlier IE and Mozilla would offer Google as the default browser, which could be changed by the user. However not many users ever changed it.

In Mobile Phone, Android is the most poplar Mobile OS which again and obviously offers Google as default search engine. If we put together the data of the Android Phones sold the numbers are mind boggling.

I have used all the3 search engines Yahoo, Google and Bing while I was  profiling clients and my observations were as follows:

1. Google's interface is better, it is easy to read

2. Translator is bad, try Bing

3. Results are better.

Larry and sergy were the first two people to write efficient algorithmic codes to build a search engine page called Google which blew away all other pesturing search engine sites filled with advertisements and also time taking results.This is the only search engine till date which give us maximum results in minimum time which is possible only because of efficient algorithms which connects the related web pages asked to search for.
