Would you take the Zend PHP 5 certification?

I think Zend certification not powerfull as before, zend framework will became history soon :) but it helps its the only trusted php certification, in my point of view i think no need to have it

I think - every PHP developer should have its certification.
It will explain everything about you with your silent lips.
To be a PHP certified, is a great PLUS in your CV and experience.70% -80% of your CV will be covered by this [Not at all the places but at many places].
@Zaid - PHP Zend Certification and Zend Frameworks are2 different things.
When you are PHP Zend Certified that doesn't mean you have to pass Zend Framework exams.
Suppose if Zend framework becomes a history then still PHP Zend Certification will have its own value !!

its an option if you are not that much in PHP , if you are skillfull and you already take challenge in PHP , then the certificate will not be comparable with your own skills .

Zend certification will make you different from other developers and increase the chances to get selected as employee and projects as entrepreneur.
Also, Magento is using zend framework as their base and you can increase your chances to get selected for magento company .
Anyhow, Magento cerfication course is also available in market.

That's depends on how much you need it.
If taking this Certification enhance your career in area you work in (Company, Country) and if that makes you distinct from other people in same field then yes.
Otherwise it won't make a difference since PHP language can't be measure by certifications but by Experience.

sometimes certification is considered a job pre-requisite specialy in GCC, so in order to open more doors and more apportiniity to your self, certification is going to be useful.
in my openion, certification is a plus, if you can afford it, and you have enough time, go for it.
experiance and specialisation can't be only measured by certifications, certification is a tiny factor.
