convincing is the hardest thing to do. your presentation & orientation will make it easy for you.. Don't ever try to push the customer to believe you.your way of talking will tell him what you are and whom you are representing.
If your product or service you provide doesn't speak for itself and stand out from the rest of the competitors ,
the support services you provide can convince any customer that you are on top in your field , all you need to do is focus on customer's need and make him feel that he will never be alone if he ever needed support . use all customer service techniques to resolve the customer issue , answer his inquiry or help him reach the outcome needed all will result into customer satisfactions which will cause general satisfactions with the product / service your company provide
you should never have to convince anyone or body anything..your work should talk for itself, always keep your indifference and it is very unprofessional to talk down about another company

Top 10 Ways:
1- Listen.
2- Language: When speaking to customers, it is important to use proper grammar and words the customer will understand. Tailor your language toward the customer. Do not use difficult words that the customer might not understand, or technical words specific to the industry you work in.
3- Tone: Always use a pleasant, friendly voice when speaking with customers. Harsh tones might give the impression that you are yelling at the customers.
4- Enunciate:It is important that the customer can understand what you are saying.
You won't take more time to do that if its already better than them ^_^
All you need is to collect more details about the competitors and to show the customers your professional way of comparisons :)

Small companies make customers realize they need their products by convincing them to make purchases. Your success depends on you having a quality product. It is also imperative that you become familiar with your competitors' products. Business owners use several key techniques to convince customers to make purchases. Some tactics they use are persuasive selling, product demonstration, creative promotions, and free trials. You have a better chance of selling to people who are most likely to use your product, despite their age or income group.
1. Focus on the need of customer
2. Highlight your strengths in that area.
3. Promise a little less than you can actually perform
4. Perform at your level best and
Now you are performing more than the expectation of your customer, they are satisfied.
If you are better then your competitor then state it as a fact in front of the customer and fact don't need justification to support. In my opinion never try to over-sale the product but spend more time addressing customer need and differentiate yourself to the competition in positive manner help win customer trust. I guess that why the term 'USP' get into existence you should always know what is USP of your company and build your talk on that.
